A villa, a garden, a table
Some restaurants are built. Ours simply grew into the house it lives in. HOME is a French restaurant in the heart of Vientiane, set in a 1960s villa surrounded by a large tropical garden in Ban Watnak, Sisattanak — ten minutes from the city centre, and a world away from it.
French cuisine, Lao produce
Our French chef builds a classic repertoire on the best produce Laos has to offer. Signatures include the foie gras ballotine with Bolaven-spice chutney, hand-cut beef tartare, seared scallops on saffron risotto, and a one-kilo bone-in beef rib for two, carved at the table with three house sauces. Desserts are made in-house daily, from crème brûlée to crêpes flambées finished tableside, along with ten flavours of homemade ice cream. A children's menu and a page of Lao classics complete the picture. Menus are available in English, Lao and Chinese.
Wines, cocktails and our own gin
The cellar leans French, from easy-drinking bottles to serious Burgundies, and the bar mixes the classics alongside cocktails built on HOME Gin, distilled for the house. Join us on Saturdays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm for two-for-one cocktails in the garden.
Private dining and events
The villa and garden can be privatised, entirely or by area, for weddings, birthdays and corporate dinners, with menus tailored to your party. Ask us about privatisation or read about an evening at HOME on our blog.
Practical information
Open Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 2 pm and 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm (11 pm on Friday and Saturday); last kitchen orders at 2 pm and 9:30 pm. Closed on Sunday. The pool is open to dining guests from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Reservations on WhatsApp: +856 20 56 326 515.
